CONDITIONS FOR HIRE OF THE WOODBURY HALL.

It's simple - Leave it the way you found it.

  1. As well as the normal hire charge, a fully refundable bond must be paid.
  2. This bond will be returned in full to chosen bank account if the hall is left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition to the satisfaction of the Cleaner or Secretary.
  3. Hirers are asked in their own interest to ensure that the fire extinguishers are not fired off needlessly. As these are expensive to have recharged, the cost will be charged to the hirer.
  4. Any damage is to be reported.  
  5. The bond will be refunded within 2 weeks.   Bank account number to be supplied for refund.
  6. Keys are to be returned the day after the hire of the hall or $50.00 of the bond will not be refunded.
  7. There are to be no hay bales or any other such flammable material used as decorations in the Hall.
  8. All decorations and their attachments MUST be removed from the walls and Hall at the completion of any function.
  9.  All rubbish accumulated at a function is the responsibility of the Hirer and must be removed from the Hall and Grounds.
  10. Round Tables MUST NOT be removed from the hall.  NO furniture is to be used outside if wet.
  11. Please re-stack tables and chairs in their designated places, chairs in the "snug" area as per diagram.  Please ensure any tables/forms shifted are put back where you found them.
  12. Hirers to supply their own tea towels.
  13. Please read instructions for operation of the steriliser.  Dishes must be washed before being sterilised.
  14. Ensure power to the hot water cylinder is switched off at the completion of function.
  15. Ensure the main power switch is turned off as you leave the hall.
  16. Wash floor with hot water.
  17. Firewood supplied.  Please bring paper and lighter.
  18. NO furniture to be removed from Hall without permission, if removed with permission it must NOT be left in the rain.
  19. If you use a Caterer, it is still your responsibility to ensure Kitchen left as found and clean.
  20. You must pay your account before picking up keys.
  21. You must meet Hall Cleaner on arrival at Hall, and on completion of hire.  This is to ensure you are happy with everything, know where things are, and that the hall is left as found.
  22. The Hall is a NON SMOKING venue.
  23. NO liquor to be sold without a special license from the Liquor Licensing Agency.
  24. Any cleaning charges over and above the Hall Bond, after your hire of the hall (if not left as found), will be invoiced to you.
  25. Hirers should consider obtaining Public Liability Insurance cover in respect of their hire of the hall, pavilion or domain, as hirers may be liable for loss or damage caused in the domain or to third parties.
  26. There is to be no disturbance to neighbours die to excessive noise as defined in the Resource Mangement Act 1991 and that if noise is considered to be excessive the Council has the power to direct that noise be reduced to a reasonable level, and to seize sound equipment, or to remove or render it inoperable.
  27. The Site shall not be used, or permitted to be used, for noisome, noxious, offensive, dangerous, illegal or unlawful purposes or activities.
  28. Every hirer is required to be familiar with the procedure for evacuation of the hall in case of fire.
